The Leite Seridó project was conceived by the Instituto BioSistêmico (IBS) with the objective of promoting the development of dairy farming with producers in the Seridó region, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, in the Northeast region of Brazil.

For that, it proposes a set of activities and resources for technological assistance, structured and modulated for the development and adequacy of the production process, improvement of quality, health and productivity of milk.
Executed by the BioSistêmico Institute, the Leite Seridó Project has the support of resources from the Zoetis Foundation and the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae) in the state of Rio Grande do Norte.

The Project serves milk producers in the municipalities of Serra Negra do Norte and Caicó. The associations served are the Association of Rural Producers of Curral Queimado, the Association of Family Farmers of Frutuoso, the Lagoa da Serra Community Development Council and the Pitombeira Serra Negra do Norte Community Development Association.

Attendance Methodology
The consultancy will be developed based on structured assistance for work groups made up of modules of 20 producers. In all, assistance is scheduled for 100 producers, with the development of individual and collective activities over the course of 24 months.

The services provided by the Seridó Leite Project are carried out by a multidisciplinary team of consultants from the BioSistêmico Institute, formed by agronomists, veterinarians and zootechnicians.

The activities will be carried out on the properties, in accordance with a pre-approved schedule and adjusted by the parties. The services will be oriented in accordance with the verified needs and according to the objectives to be achieved in each property.
​
To qualify the producers, courses and training will be offered on artisanal cheese production techniques, good milking and hygiene practices, animal health and health and property organization.
