The Instituto Biosistêmico (IBS) perform a round of technical lectures on the Leite Seridó project, on October 12th, during the Festa do Boi, at the Aristófanes Fernandes Exhibition Park, in Parnamirim, metropolitan region of Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte.
Perform with the support of the Zoetis Foundation and Sebrae in Rio Grande do Norte, the lectures are part of Leite Seridó's technical training program. The objective of these trainings is to bring technical knowledge in an objective and accessible language to milk producers, contributing to the improvement of this group.
The importance of different minerals in bovine nutrition, mating in Fixed Time Artificial Insemination (AITF) and management in the application of pharmaceuticals were the topics presented to the dairy producers who are part of the project.
As explained by veterinarian Luiz Sartori, technical coordinator of IBS livestock projects in the Northeast region, the three topics covered are relevant to the producers' routine.
He points out that it is important for producers to know the different types of minerals, how they act on the animals' bodies, which directly affects the production and reproduction of the herd.
“In the reproductive part, it is strategic for producers to be aware of the expectations and evaluations of the bulls that they have used and will use in the AITF, according to the productive management of each one”, highlights Sartori.
Regarding the management of drug application, the veterinarian adds that it is essential that producers have at least some knowledge on the subject, so that they can apply the drugs correctly, safely and effectively.
